WINNER: Eureka!

Around last calendar week the musical theme sort of popped in my mind to take white , stylize pictures of lighbulbs and fibril . I ’m probably not the first one to come up with this but what the heck , I thought it ’d be fund . Since incandescent bulb are now ban in France I had to order a few with interesting filaments from a specialized shop . I actually have 7 dissimilar bulbs in this series but this one ’s my favourite – I just like the overall equipoise .

I pip it with my Fuji X - E1 and outfit 18 - 55 rapid climb at 55 mm , f/22 , ISO 200 . The image is a combination of two shot : one with the medulla on , a 9 - full stop ND filter , and 4 - 2d pic ( the filament ) , and another with the bulb off , no filter and also 4 - second exposure ( the chalk ) . I probably could have done it in one pellet if I had a variator to have the bulb running at low king . The master challenge was to find two appropriately - place vertical tripping sources for the side highlight ; in the remnant I take the shot in my parent ’ kitchen – I was chatter – at dark , with the service department and aliveness way doors ajar . Whatever works ! Anyway . I think it turn out OK .

Decay

This exposure was take with a Fujifilm x100 , ISO 1000 , F 10 , 1/250 in Huntington WV , and I think that it captures the slow decline and spiritual fatalism that is rampant in this townsfolk . As far as editing it was converted to black and white in Lightroom 4 with adjustments made to exposure , demarcation , highlights , shadower , lights , dark , and limpidity .

Flare Up

I have always wanted to participate in the photo shooting challenge , brush some of the dust off of my rapidly aging DSLR . Yet the opportunity never stage itself . It was always “ expect till this is end up , ” or “ I ’ll do it tomorrow . ” As I ’m certain you guessed , work was never done and tomorrow never amount . More on the photo ; I was take photographs through a colonial light microscope and I could n’t get them quite as focused on the easy source as I liked . After acquire some acceptable pictures from cat genitals ( yes , for veridical ) , I really wish the accidental picture I took . It reminded me of the first photo challenge I show about , back in 2010 , it was of lens flares . So I ’m taking you guy wire up on your trace , and this is my first photo challenge submission of the first photograph challenge I ever read ! This photo was taken with an iPhone 4S , using the origin tv camera practical program and later edit using iPhoto for some pocket-sized chroma and level adjustment .

Color Me Rad

I wanted to do the anything challenge , but I was n’t sure what I want to do . My niece propose that I take a picture of something unexampled .. something I ’ve never tried or done before . With that in head , I adjudicate to institute my Sony Cybershot with me on my first ever 5k . This was the Color Me Rad 5k , so I knew if nothing else , I would get some colorful shots . I could n’t even see through the finder through all the color dust in the air , but I blindly shot photos anyway . This was a radical of runners who establish themselves back in a colour zone after the backwash . The lined up and had a acquaintance of theirs unload a bag of dust over them . It ’s not the advantageously frame photo in the world , but I suppose it captures how much merriment and color this event actually is !

Open Wide

Using the “ no excuses ” contrast as my motivation , I set myself out to take an range of a function for which there was no excuse . Originally , I was planning on making a composite image by taking the face fritter and the forget me drug shot separately but my subject seemed less than intimidated by the arthropod and I had to compel . If I could conjure a single justification for this image it is that we should all be more conscious of what we choose to eat . Many nutrient today arrest component that we would not otherwise ware and increased awareness could invest mass to make healthier selection with their dieting . This image was capture using a Nikon D5000 sporting a 50 mm f/1.8 g at ISO 200 , f/8.0 and 1/100 ’s of a 2nd shutter stop number . Two studio strobes were used . One as a independent lighter and the other on the background and to soften the shadow a moment . The roach was already utter and did n’t have any other plans that dark .

More and More Cats

Not that we involve any more cat pic online , I wanted to do something neat for the anything challenge but Florida weather prevailed and damped out essentially everything . The hombre here care to go on these crazy running sprees and hide above one of the towel cupboards . Grabbed a few shots as she stared down at the camera and loved the way the Christ Within lit one-half of her aspect . Shot on a Canon 400D , f/4.5 @ 1/125 , ISO 400
