Out of all the shots I try , this one was my Word ’s idea and came out pretty good . Using one of their light-emitting diode sward that changes colors . Using a Canon 7D with the 18 - 135 genus Lens . ISO 400 , f16 with 15 second shutter . No Photoshop processing other than sizing .

We ’re located in Hilo , Hawaii , so we endeavor to have a panoptic variety of background , from tropical forests to urban / industrial building . We use a Canon 40d camera , with a Sigma 50 mm 1:1.4 lens , and use long exposure and a crew of Friend to strain different shooter . The photograph was occupy with a 32 2d exposure , at 1.6 and iso 100 . We aim to show colors and lights towards movie , comic , and video game reference . This shot was inspired by the idea of urban holy man as well as the comic playscript “ Constantine . ” We took the shot in a flood canal off a wood route a few Night ago , and were trying to delineate the graffito or find the safe ones for a just background while torching our models with flashes and making them stand still in with cars headlights ruin shot and stimulate a plenty of respawns .

I congeal up the tv camera on a tripod , took my position and pressed the remote control . This was actually my first attempt , all the others did n’t seem quite as secure . I stood in the corner of the room and traced over myself with a small LED in the hopes that it would depend like a skeleton , starting with the groundwork and working up , ‘ drawing ’ the hands last .

Last week , when I saw the batman pics , the first think I thought was : It ’s soooo cool , I need to make something like that , and to resign it to gizmodo , it would be so nice if they publish it !

Me and my friend Martin organized everything and we went to the top of the hill in a ruined monastery ( Heidelberg , Germany ) . We get in at 10 postmortem examination and we stay put there till 3 am . At the final stage , this was the only motion-picture show we really liked , so here it is . The rubric could be “ Dark Angel ” . He watches over you when Batman is on obligation :p

The apparatus : Iphone for music on desktop ( :p ) Nikon d700 with Sigma 17 - 35 , tripod . This flick is obtained with the sum of 53 unlike film of the sky with startrails . I set up the photographic camera for 2″ ego - timing , then 30″ exposure clock time , 1600 ISO , f8 . I iron that button 53 times , every 30″ : s Then we took a picture for the trunk painting , same exif as before . With a woolly mullein I paint Martin ’s body and after with light taper I made the wings . I took some 250 pictures , spent 5 hours alfresco , drunk 2 beer ( actually we were too engaged for imbibe beer ) and puzzle really frighten away by a mouse … but I think it worth it .

Out with the lady friend for some beer and wings and we begin brainstorming for ideas for this weeks pic challenge , remainder result was the Tron bicycle theme . We put down tape so we could keep the the lines on the floor straight and used garbage can lids as guides for the tyre . It was just the two of us so it took two photos to create the power system on the story , first photo for the line leave behind to right and the 2nd picture for the lines back to front and a 3rd photograph to get her on the bike with the tires and the personal line of credit on her and the chase after light . The images were then layer together in photoshop . occupy us 75 images to get the 3 that we like and it was in the service department in the middle of the mean solar day so we had to black out the windows and keep the doors closed .. Let just say it was really hot in the garage .
