As the pop superstar’sseventh studio albumEternal Sunshinedebuts at No. 1 on theBillboard200— marking her sixth record to reach the peak position on the chart — she’s celebrating her successes and reflecting on how “emotional” it has felt to release her latest project.
On Monday, Grande, 30, shared a thoughtful post on Instagram about why the “album is most special to [her]” and thanking fans for their support since it dropped on March 8.
“i know i have been posting so much (i feel self conscious about that / also would like to keep going / thanking / celebrating !) but i just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart,” the Grammy winner wrote in the caption of a video featuring clips from the"We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)" music videoand teasing the album’s accomplishments on the charts.
“it’s impossible to put into words what i’ve been feeling this week,” Grande continued. “this album is most special to me for many reasons and just holds so much. sharing it has re-opened a lot of little and big feelings alike and it has been an emotional week in many ways !”
She explained that her fans' warm reception of the new project — which many have speculated is about herdivorcefromDalton Gomezand her new relationship withboyfriend Ethan Slater— has helped carried her through the release. “but your overwhelmingly loving response to it all has made me feel such joyful, human connection and comfort,” she wrote.
“just wanted to say i love and appreciate you all more than one can say and thank you again. it is, as it always has been, my greatest honor to grow with you,” the hitmaker concluded. “。˚❀ ·ꕤ let us promise to keep going ! .゚ꕤ”

Eternal Sunshinemarks the pop star’s first album sincePositionswas released in 2020. The lead single"Yes, And?“arrived in January, debuting on the Hot 100, and sheannounced the LPshortly after its release.
Shortly after her seventh studio album dropped, the “Thank U Next” singer also shared a special edition of the record, dubbed theslightly deluxeversion, featuring the"Yes, And?” remixwithMariah Carey, a rendition of “Supernatural” featuringTroye Sivanand other additional tracks.
In a February interview on theZach Sang Show, theSweetenerartist said that in the years since releasing her last LP, herrelationship to music has changed, thanks in part to her character Glinda in the forthcomingWickedmovie musical.
“I kind of healed a lot of parts of myself alongside and through her and it actually helped me heal a lot of my own personal weird stuff that I had with my relationship to music and to being an artist,” she said. “It all happened absolutely how it was meant to be.”
