President Barack Obama on How Bo Changed the White House

Barack Obamais sharing his favorite summer treats.

On Saturday, the 59-year-old former President unveiled hisannual summer music playlist, a tradition he has taken part in over the past several years.

Obama also showed love to some lesser-known artists as well, including Nezi, Masked Wolf, and Brother Sundance.

“With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer,” Obamatweetedalongside the playlist. “Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it’s a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between.”

A day prior, Obama also publicly shared his summer reading list as well. There, the politician included books among the likes ofTo Klara and the Sun,Leave the World Behind,andEmpire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty.

“While we were still in the White House, I began sharing my summer favorites—and now, it’s become a little tradition that I look forward to sharing with you all. So here’s this year’s offering. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did,” hetweetedon Friday.

Late last year, the 44th President of the United States admitted that he crafts these particular listswith a little help from his college-aged daughters.

Though he noted that Sasha is a bit more cagey about what she has in her musical rotation, Barack said he’s able to glean enough to “keep up” with what’s trending in music.

“I pick up on some trends,” he continued. “Sasha’s more protective of her music. There’s certain things on SoundCloud — She has a like a private playlist. She won’t share all of it with me because she’s not sure I’m hip enough to handle it.”
