It ’s looking more and more potential that there is indeedflowing , liquid urine somewhere on Marsor , at least , forming weewee . So , if we find it , could we ( and should we ) also drink it ?
Are these pictures of water flow on Mars , properly now ?

Astrobiologist Nilton Renno , who was co - investigator for NASA ’s 2007 Phoenix mission , unite us today to say us about his latest undertaking : using an experimental chamber that replicates the environmental conditions on Mars to test whether it ’s possible for liquified piss to form .
But , if as the experiment suggests it is possible , what might we do with that water ? Could it potentially be a source of imbibition pee for Explorer to intercept from ? believably not , says Renno :
The salt found on Mars that can make fluent H2O at very depressed temperatures are called perchlorates . They are not ripe for our health . Thus , it is not good to imbibe the saline solution body of water that might be present on Mars . Moreover , we require to find only small amounts of liquified water near the airfoil , droplets not lakes .

All , however , is not quite lost for any succeeding distance colonists out there , hope to see a water reference a little closer than a shuttle ride forth :
There is a large amount of deoxyephedrine on Mars that could be easily melted to provide limpid piddle for a settlement . There is Lot of body of water ice on the shallow subsurface of Mars , even in mid - parallel of latitude . Water meth could be easily melted to produce liquid water .
