I ’m not saying the “ next Lost ” will necessarily look like a scripted spin on a reality television set show , or that it ’ll seem like a copy of an be dramatic play score , exactly . But it ’ll credibly have a round-eyed , relatable construct at first . ( Everybody can question what they would do if their airplane crashed on an island and they had to get along without animate being comforts . It ’s something I suppose about way too often . ) And it ’ll probably have at least some familiar - but - remixed elements . Or I know – it ’ll be the Leno - Coco state of war , except Coco ’s a druid !
But really , the “ next Lost ” is n’t number any time soon . The networks are going to want some time to lick their wounding from the last half - dozen prominent - budget failures , and someone ’s pop off to have to get up with a pitch that just sounds irresistible , with a logline that you may excuse to a four - year - old in the time it takes to tie the kid ’s shoes .
