Futurama has pass through two networks , over six season , and four movies , and while a lot of people have had their differences with its various incarnations , I , personally , had never seen a sorry episode . Mediocre ones , yes , but not bad . “ The Butterjunk burden ” was bad .
They then rescue something to the lunation , and watch a Butterfly Derby , where barely clad women take flight on butterfly wings and fight in team until one squad gets knock out of the air . Amy and Leela team up and lose again and again , until they get sold Nectar , a “ natural acrobatic supplement . ” After go on the succus they get verbally , physically , and eventually sexually belligerent , and also they consult to themselves as guys and the man as ladies , because that ’s funny . There ’s some twist at the end where Fry gets spray by butterfly pheromones , but not much comes of that . Leela and Amy resolve their inactive - aggressive antagonism , which they did n’t have before this episode anyway . And that ’s it . That ’s the episode .
The only good function are the thrown-away assembly line and lot gags that Futurama always excel at . A lunar hillbilly watching a derby says , when a female child wing are snap off , “ You watch the floor , because that ’s where she ’s gon na hit . . . . call up it . ” The Nectar pram , dress as a gymnasium coach , heads towards the door but or else creep away behind a bank of lockers . Other than that it ’s just a bizarrely washy and disjointed sequence which sets up a unintelligent conflict between Amy and Leela so it can be resolved stupidly .
