The last fourth dimension we saw Danny Rand , he was just getting his first gustatory perception of what it mean for him to become part of a superhero squad . The first teaser for Iron Fist ’s second season is all about how that experience commute Danny . Behold :
Marvel also premiered a lot of raw Iron Fist footage at its San Diego Comic - Con panel ( which Marvel has annoyingly not released ) . bunco game - goers were treated to a number of scenes showcasing what new engagement stage dancing Clayton Barber — who did Black Panther — stargaze up for Danny , Colleen , and Misty Knight . It ca n’t be overstated how drastic an advance there is . One aspect , in particular , finds Danny and Davos in K’un - Lun ( in a flashback ) during one of their final tests to decide which of them is worthy of face off against Shou - Lao . After donning masks reminiscent of Iron Fist ’s from the comic , the two students are bound together with a farseeing smash and made to vanquish the everliving Scheol out of each another until one of them yield . As brutal and bloody as the face - off is , it ’s also fluid and refined in a way that feels wise , young , and on the dot like what you require from Iron Fist .
Beyond the combat , however , Danny has become much more of a hero than he was at first , thanks to his encounter with Daredevil during The Defenders serial publication . Marvel ’s Jeph Loeb explain that fight alongside Matt Murdock in The Defenders is ultimately what exhort Danny to use his Iron Fist abilities to become a proper street - spirit level vigilante . Though the Devil of Hell ’s Kitchen might not make an show in Iron Fist ’s second time of year , his influence on Danny ’s going to act a huge role is in the show ’s plot of land .
While it remains to be seen how much the show will sincerely ameliorate , the Comic - Con footage actually has us optimistic about the Modern season , which premieres on September 7 . It finally feels like Iron Fist may have work out out want multitude wanted out of this show in the first post .
