Jay Ellisis best known for his hit television shows and big box office movies, but his most important role is dad.
At the Los Angeles premiere for Netflix’sRunning Pointon Thursday, Feb. 13,theInsecurealum, 43, spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about how his daughterNora, 3, is adjusting to being a big sister to her new little brotherNoa, 7 months. Ellis says while their daughter is warming up to the idea of being a big sister, he and his wifeNina Senicarsometimes have to “back her away from him.”
“She’s still working on it. She loves him a lot,” Ellis tells PEOPLE at the Egyptian Theatre. “We got to back her away from him because she just wants to hug him. She wants him to be a teddy bear, basically. That’s what we’re usually fighting against.”

Although he is only 7 months old, Ellis says that Noa is “big” and believes he may have a future as an athlete.
“He’s good. He’s big. I think he might be a basketball player one day,” he said. " He’ll be an athlete for sure! He’s a big boy."
“Wow, we have a son! 🤯,” Senicar wrote in her own caption, sharing the same image as her husband.
