“It’s cold out here,” Indianapolis police spokesman William Young told the outlet. “Who knows what could have happened if this particular individual was not able to come outside. It’s extremely cold, and we’re still in our early stages of trying to figure out who was responsible for this.”

“The plate number on the vehicle is 364CMU. If you see this vehicle, please call 911 immediately,” they added about the stolen car, which was taken from a home at East Gimber Street at around 11 a.m. that day, reportedCBS4 Indy.
Police were alerted that two babies were inside the stolen 2013 Hyundai Sonata before they discovered the vehicle and found it was empty. This happened around the same time Deane called authorities to state he’d found the two girls, added CBS4 Indy.
