Meghan MarkleandPrince Harrymade a sweet stop for Commonwealth Day!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with a group of Canadians in London who showed them how they make maple taffy using syrup cooled on snow on Monday. It came as Harry and Meghan visited Canada House in London to mark Commonwealth Day. The event was aimed at celebrating the diverse community of young Canadians living in London and around the U.K.

The expectant parents showed off their sweet bond during their arrival, with Harry chivalrously allowing Meghan to go first while placing a hand on her back as she stepped onto the curb – and she returned the affection, keeping a hand on his shoulder as they made their way inside.

The spring tradition of making the sweet candy from maple syrup came as part of a traditional “Cabane à sucre” or a “Sugar Shack.”

They also watched a special musical performance.

Meghan joined with aCommonwealth-based organizationwhen she took part in apanel discussion on International Women’s Dayon Friday. She was also announced as Vice President of theQueen’s Commonwealth Trustalongside her husband Harry, who is President. The couple have made the Commonwealth a key part of their royal duties.
