DuringMonday’s season finale, Graziadei got down on one knee in Tulum, Mexico, to propose to Anderson with a heartfelt speech anda ringthat captured her “radiance, uniqueness, joy and sentimental nature,” celebrity jewelry designer Neil Lane described to PEOPLE.

Now thattheir relationshipcan go public, the couple is planning a move to New York City — but not before they celebrate their engagement in Anderson’s hometown of New Orleans.

“I’m excited to celebrate our love and for everyone to meet Joey,” the junior project manager said.

On their decision to plant roots in the Big Apple, Anderson reasoned, “We’re young and I think now is the time to live in a tiny, cramped apartment together and experience it. Even if we hate it, at least we can say we did it.”

At the end of the finale episode,Jenn Tranwas announced as the 21st Bachelorette, with her season airing later this year. She is the franchise’s first Asian-American lead.

Graziadei toldEWthat his biggest advice to Tran’s potential suitors is to “focus on your individual connection.”

“Especially with a lot of guys, there can be a lot of different personalities and egos coming together,” he elaborated. “Let yourself have the opportunity to create something special with Jenn. That’s better for both sides."
